Zaria Fertilizers And Packaging Limited was set up in 2016 with the purpose of identifying and exploiting opportunities in agricultural value chains in Nigeria. The company is committed to developing integrated solutions to some identified value-chain problems with a view of creating sustainable agri-businesses that would not only provide healthy returns on investment but also
provide jobs and opportunities to its host community.

The company set up its blending plant at No. 2 Tobacco Road, Muchiya, Zaria with an installed capacity of 120 metric tonnes per hour or 300,000 metric tonnes per annum on a single shift of 8 hours. In a double shift, it can produce
600,000 metric tonnes per annum.

Zaria Fertilizer serves a market defined by structural demand, growing pressure on food systems, and continued need for reliable crop nutrition products. Its operating location in Zaria provides access to major agricultural belts in northern Nigeria and positions the company within practical reach of large smallholder, commercial, and institutional demand centres.

Blending Capacity

The company’s core asset is a fully automated single-line AGI Yargus Declining Weight System NPK blending plant with installed capacity of 120 metric tons per hour, placing it among the larger blending facilities in Nigeria by single-line capacity. The plant is designed to produce standard NPK grades as well as crop-specific and micronutrient-enhanced blends for different market segments.

Commercial Model

The company’s commercial model is built around two complementary lines of business. The first is the production and sale of proprietary fertilizer products, including the Yabanya Fertilizer brand, which retains recognition in northern Nigeria. The second is the use of available blending capacity to provide bulk and toll blending services for cooperatives, agri-input businesses, institutional buyers, and other third parties requiring blending capability.
